Keeping our games on track
The Gungahlin United Football Club (GUFC) has produced a number of quality match officials over the years feeding into the Capital Football (CF) Referee program and this has been due to a comprehensive referee development program.
Game Leader (GL). This course has been specifically designed for new junior referees aged 13 and 14. At the completion of this course you will be able to referee MiniRoos games from under 6 to under 11. This is a practical course taking 2 hours. Cost of $85 includes course fees, a Fox 40 whistle, a Capital Football GL uniform and registration as a Capital Football Referee. Becoming a GL is the first step in the referee pathway. It is great way to be involved in community football, develop leadership skills, improve confidence, develop communication skills and earn some money.
Level 4 Referee (L4). All participants will need to complete the FFA online Laws of the Game. This can be done at any time, see laws.myfootballclub.com.au. Level 4 Courses are the beginner’s courses for refereeing Full Field Games. Courses are run over a full day of classroom work and a self-guided online Laws of the Game module beforehand.

The GUFC has a specific rebate scheme for Men’s and Women’s State League and Masters registered Players who officiate at CF sanctioned home matches, due to CF not allocating a match official.
To claim the rebate, the player must be recorded as the Match Official on the match day card sent to CF.
Please contact the Referee Coordinator or Seniors Coordinator for more information on how to claim the rebate. More information: Seniors referee policy FINAL
